Canterbury Pony Club’s Mounted Games Clinic
Saturday, June 30th & Sunday, July 1st, 2018
Come join the fun! Pony Club has its own tradition of mounted games. Come to learn the games and have fun together! Neither you nor your pony needs to be an expert. We will begin learning the games together slowly.
Instructors: We are privileged to have international Pony Club Mounted Games Instructors Sarah Gardner and her sister as our visiting instructors.
When: Saturday, June 30th 9AM- 4 PM -- Sunday July 1st 9AM-3PM
Where: Valley Grove Farm, 10155 150th St., E, Nerstrand, MN 55053 (Chris & Meaghan’s House)
Who: 16 riders; Canterbury Members will receive first priority. Stabling: Limited Space for horses & riders to stay overnight. Contact Chris if you need a space 612-730-9174. $15 for stabling overnight.
Cost: Free for Canterbury members

*Invite a friend! Non Pony Club riders welcome if their mounts are safe, & they can walk and trot safely. Non PC riders bring current Coggins to clinic & signed non-PC member waiver.
Tentative Schedule:
Day 1: Saturday:
9-10:15 AM Group 1: Session 1: Warm Up & Learn Drill work, Bending, Mug Shuffle, Pyramid, Carton, Run and Ride.
10:15-11:30 AM Group 2: Session 1: Same as above.
11:30-12:30: Bag Lunch & Horse Care
12:30-1:30 PM: Games on the Ground
1:30-2:45 PM: Group 1: Session 2: Vaulting, 5 Flag, Bottle, Canadian, 2 Flag, Rope (if ponies are ok with it).
2:45-4:00 PM: Group 2: Session 2: Same as Above.
Day 2: Sunday:
7:30 AM Horse Care
9-10:15 AM Group 1: Session 3: Ball & Cone, Sock, 5 Mug, Ball & Racket, Litter, Finish with Vaulting.
10:15-11:30 AM Group 2: Session 3: Same as Above.
11:30-12:30: Horse Care & Bag Lunch.
12:30-2:30 Mini Competition!
Pack Up & Head Home!
